Resolve Finance on the fast track to franchise success

Mortgage brokerage, Resolve Finance understand that while owning your own home is the dream of many Australians, not all Australians are the same.

That’s why when the company launched their unique franchise model in October 2017, the emphasis was set firmly on diversity; a diverse network of franchisees for a rapidly evolving portfolio of clients.

With franchisees of all ages, backgrounds and experience, Resolve focused on creating an environment that harboured growth and individuality, tailoring their model to the unique needs of each franchisee.

If you have a background in the finance industry and are passionate about helping Australians achieve their goals of home ownership, now is the time to consider a Resolve Finance franchise.

Foundation franchisee, Michael Johnston believes Resolve’s unique and personalised franchising model has been the key to creating a supportive and successful business.

“Now into my 13th year linked to the Resolve Finance business, I have made many friendships that will last a lifetime,” Johnston said.

“Being able to work with peers who are friends has helped shape me as a mortgage broker and allowed me to continue to develop.”

Johnston began his career with Resolve finance as a client support officer, before progressing to become a fully-qualified mortgage broker. As his career with Resolve developed, he became state sales manager for Victoria, and in 2017 became a franchise partner with the company.

I have taken on many roles within the Resolve Finance business, starting in admin support and then progressing into loan writing, broking, management and now a franchise owner. Through each of these roles I have been able to learn, develop and refine my craft to give me the comfort to make the unknown leap into owning a business.”

Unlike the conventional finance space, franchisees have the option of operating their business as a shopfront or mobile service depending on their preference.

“I currently rent a shared office space in the Arro HQ Building in North Geelong,” Johnston said.

“The office space is ideal for our business as it has likeminded business owners sharing the converted warehouse and provides a relaxing, friendly environment for my customers.”

While Johnston’s mortgage broking career has been shaped by Resolve, other franchisees have had far different journeys.

Lorraine Wreford started her career by studying a Bachelor of Applied Sciences at RMIT before completing a Certificate in both Financial Services and Small Business as well as completing a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Management Broking.

Wreford then pursued political success, with a 12 year stretch that saw her become the Mayor of Casey and Member of Mordialloc, Parliament of Victoria, before returning to help Australians become home-owners.

Resolve Finance’s franchise model relies on flexibility to make meaningful connections, with franchisees encouraged to make the business their own.

Since the franchise model’s inception, the brand has seen interest from a wide range of diverse franchisees, all with different working histories and unique life experience.

With expansion always on the horizon, Resolve Finance have seen their first franchise office open in Western Australia with former employees, Martin Ireland, Richard Velliaris and Daniel Johnston setting up shop in Duncraig.

“I was drawn to the Resolve Finance franchise model because it gave me the chance to grow without leaving the company and to continue doing what I love, but with an opportunity to grow from within and the chance to generate more opportunities for business,” Ireland said.
