Regional awards for franchise sector: South Australia

South Australian franchisees were awarded for great performance at the recent NAB FCA SA Excellence in Franchising Awards.

Jason Rasiah from Hudsons Coffee was named Franchisee of the Year – two or more staff, with Mark Carn from ActionCoach taking the award for Franchisee of the Year – less than two staff, for the second year running.

"I think everyone should enter the awards. It helps the industry and all the franchisees to grow and get better," Carn said.

Rasiah said he was looking forward to sharing the award

The Franchisee Community Service gong went to Bakers Delight's Richard Whittaker.

Rasiah said he was looking forward to sharing the award with his staff.

"I  think they'll be elated as well. I can't be in the position that I am without the loyalty and dedication I have from my staff," he said.

Cheryl Haywood was rewarded for her work as the first franchisee in South Australia for the RAMS home Loans network and received a merit award for Franchise Woman of the Year.

The occasion was also an opportunity for Rose Vis, a co-founder of V.I.P. Home Services and a SA State Chapter committee member to be recognised for her contribution to the franchise sector.

All winners now qualify as finalists for the national awards to be announced in Canberra at a gala dinner on Tuesday 9 October 2012.
