Recent appointments and resignations in the retail sector include activity at Red Rooster and Stockland. Red Rooster marketing manager Anna Jones has resigned, while Stockland has appointed a new general manager for retail leasing, commercial property.

After four years at Red Rooster, national marketing manager Anna Jones is leaving the business at the end of April.

The native New Yorker has been one of the most longstanding members of the Red Rooster marketing team, which moved to Sydney from Perth earlier this year.

Under Jones’ leadership brand repositioning began; this included the Real Food Initiative (which included proactively removing all artificial colours, flavours and added MSG from the menu) and most recently the partnership with SumoSalad.

Jones said “We’ve had a number of achievements over the past four years, the proudest being the way we’ve worked hard to turn the Red Rooster business around and seeing the positive results has been the most rewarding moment of my career. I know the foundation, strategy, leadership team and partners are strong and I’m excited to pass on the brand and see it continue on this successful path forward.”

Stockland

In the Stockland business, Tony Tsekouras, the regional leasing manager for Victoria and Western Australia, has been promoted to the GM role and will  be reporting to John Schroder, goup executive, CEO commercial property.

According to Inside Retail, Tsekouras has been responsible for the retail planning and leasing of the Merrylands, Shellharbour and Townsville centres.

Tsekouras has also held senior roles with Lend Lease and GPT.
