Quest to open 10 more NSW properties

Ten new franchise opportunities have been announced by serviced apartment accommodation chain Quest, which plans to build the new properties across New South Wales by 2014.

While this development significantly increases the available accommodation in key business markets for the State’s growing number of extended-stay business travellers, it also opens the doors for franchisees keen to invest in a tightly held business.

There are 21 venues in NSW right now and the new apartments will increase Quest’s NSW room supply by more than 70 percent . The properies will be targeting business travellers who spend an average of over four nights away from home for work.

Quest Chairman Paul Constantinou made the announcement alongside NSW Premier the Hon Barry O’Farrell at the opening of the Group’s newest property at Sydney Olympic Park.

Paul Constantinou said “This investment follows the increasing need by business travellers for accommodation in the State’s regional and suburban hubs where traditional accommodation options are no longer meeting their needs,

“This year, we will commence construction at five new locations – in Albury, Shellharbour, Nowra, Orange and Liverpool.  We will continue this expansion, with another five properties to commence in the following year.”

The Premier said “Quest is building properties in areas where there has been significant investment in public and private infrastructure such as roads and rails, hospitals and educational institutions, and retail precincts.

“This commitment to investment in thriving regional and surburban locations across NSW demonstrates business confidence in long term growth across the State.”

In 2013 there will also be Quest openings interstate: three in Queensland, one in outer Melbourne, one in regional Victoria and one in Adelaide’s CBD.
