Quest shortlisted for best value accommodation award

The Quest World Square franchise has been named as a short-listed nominee in the Australian Travel & Tourism Awards – Best Value Accommodation category.

It is one of six finalists and will now represent NSW as it competes for the national title, which will be revealed on 2 February, 2010.

Spencer Bailey, managing director of the Sydney-CBD franchise, said “We’re delighted to be short-listed. We’ve only been open for a little over a year so it’s an honour to have the efforts of the team at Quest World Square recognised in such a short period of time.”

Quest World Square was the only serviced apartment nominated for the award. It is the first award the property has been nominated for since opening in October, 2008.

Best Value Accommodation is one of 17 categories presented by the Australian Travel & Tourism Awards. Finalists were selected by a panel of media experts including Susan Kurosawa, editor of The Weekend Australian’s Travel & Indulgence section; David Meagher, editor of WISH magazine and Sally Feldman, senior editor at Vogue Entertaining and Travel.

Readers will select across seven categories, including Best Value Accommodation.

“Having experts from the travel and tourism industry nominate Quest World Square for the award is a great way to start the year,” Bailey said. “Having readers potentially select us as a winner would be equally as big a coup.”

Bailey also manages Quest Rosehill and Quest on Dixon Darling Harbour.
