Population boom drives new Perth retail precinct

A new retail precinct in Western Australia will open later this year, following a population boom in the area.

Located in Byford, a suburb on the south-eastern edge of Perth, the 4990m2 centre will provide a dedicated mix of amenities for the local community,

Anchored by a Woolworths storefront and accompanying medical precinct, the centre, dubbed ‘Byford Marketplace” will open in September, with a grand opening event being held on September 26.

Anthony Sorgiovanni, retail leasing executive at ERCEG Management said the marketplace presents an opportunity for motivated franchisees to take advantage of the suburb’s steady growth potential.

“This great opportunity exists due to the rapid growth of Byford and the surrounding suburbs in the last few years,” Sorgiovanni said.

“With the expected population to sky-rocket a further 25,000 in the next ten years, this provides our retailers with a sustained growth to the their business rarely seen in the tough climate of late in established areas.”

Interest for the retail precinct is high, with limited leasing opportunities still available, however Sorgiovanni encourages all interested parties to submit their interest.

“We are looking for a mixture of retail, food and allied medical premises to complement the Woolworths and medical practice we have secured already on site, however only four opportunities remain for this centre due to open on the 26 September 2018.”

Located at 34 Abernethy Rd, Byford the Byford Marketplace presents high foot-traffic potential and off-site visibility as well as over 250 on grade car bays.
