PoolWerx has opened its first franchise in Tasmania, operating in the Hobart region and making David Doig the company’s 113th franchisee.

“Since 2008 PoolWerx franchises have been in every Australian state and territory except Tasmania,” said PoolWerx’s CEO, John O’Brien. “So of course the next most obvious opportunity for us within Australian shores was Tasmania.”

Doig has worked in various aspects of business for over 20 years, and was attracted to the franchising model as it have him the freedom to run his own business but also have the support of an established brand and system.

“Hobart residents have eagerly accepted the new PoolWerx franchise and we expect this mobile service will trigger further expansion within the state, most likely beginning with the opening of an actual PoolWerx retail store in the city,” O’Brien said.
