Ovenu in fundraising initiative

An oven cleaning franchise is turning one of the most hated jobs in the house into a fundraising opportunity. Ovenu will donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation $10 from every oven cleaned through its franchise network in August.

Ovenu’s Queensland state director Toby Bowes said a recent Ovenu commissioned survey shows that cleaning the oven is officially one of the most hated domestic chores.

“This result is a good indicator of why the company is highly valued and in such great demand,” Bowes said.

“We’re helping people take control of their own work life balance — being able to make time for their families and not be a slave to domestic chores.”

The franchise offers oven cleaning and detailing of all cookers including, ovens, microwaves, cook tops, stoves, barbecues and range hoods using a proprietory brand of caustic soda-free products and hygiene grade design registered equipment.

Launched in 1994 in the United Kingdom, the company has seen expansive growth with franchises in France, Spain and America and more than 100,000 clients.

The franchise network is growing well in Queensland with Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria expanding services too.
