New master franchisor for Anytime Fitness NZ

Anytime Fitness has announced the changeover in ownership of its New Zealand franchise, previously owned by Australian master franchisors Justin McDonell and Jacinta McDonell-Jimenez.

Master franchise rights for Anytime Fitness New Zealand have been purchased by New Zealand local, Richard Ball.

“Having been a franchisee, becoming the master franchisor is a great step forward for me. I am excited and looking forward to growing the Anytime Fitness brand in New Zealand,” Ball said.

Brother and sister team Justin and Jacinta purchased the master rights for Anytime Fitness in Australia and New Zealand in 2008 and have since grown the brand to 70 clubs in Australia and five in New Zealand.

“As the number of clubs has increased, so has the support team. Now is a critical time for us to focus on developing the Australian market, while giving the New Zealand market the opportunity to grow quicker with a strong local team,” said Justin.
