Fastway Couriers has a new general manager for its Sydney operation, David Ciantar, who takes on responsibility for the 196 courier franchisees in the depot, in addition to marketing, sales, training and support.

Ciantar has more than 20 years of experience in the franchise field, including senior management positions with McDonald’s Australia, Telstra, Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Cookie Man and most recently Anytime Fitness.

Fastway Couriers Australia CEO Richard Thame said “We are pleased to be able to leverage David’s experience in the NSW region. Many would be aware of the amazing growth of Anytime Fitness, which David spearheaded from its infancy. 

“His experience with operations, franchising, sales and marketing fits well with our ambitious company goals.”

Ciantar is enthusiastic about joining the Fastway team.

“It’s my aim to continue invigorating the business, with the ultimate goal of making Fastway synonomous with any consumer who considers a courier company,” said Ciantar.
