Regional winners in the Western Australia franchise sector were awarded for their success in the MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards at the weekend.

It was a case of two awards in two years for franchisee Bronwyn Butcher of Frontline Recruitment who took out the WA Franchisee of the Year Award in 2008 and backed this up with the Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year Award in 2009. Butcher has been a franchisee since 2002 and operates Frontline Retail, Hospitality, Construction, Finance and Legal. Her principles of envision, enable and energise made her a stand-out competitor.

Taking out the WA Franchisee of the Year Award (2 or more staff) was husband and wife team Mick and Bronwyn Caddy of Mr Rental. Their store has been recorded as the fastest growing franchise store in the Mr Rental network. Their management technique has allowed employees ownership of their part of the business giving them responsibility and accountability, as well as training all employees in one-anotherÕs role. This dedication to staff and business sustainability has ensured the Caddys stay ahead of their competitors.

Gerard & Carol Cafferkey from Bakers Delight, Geraldton won the WA Franchisee Community Service Award; Susan Sanday of Frontline Health took the award for WA Franchisee of the Year – less than 2 staff; Terri Billington, ActionCOACH franchisee was named WA Franchise Woman of the Year & Dianne Craig – Franchise Council of Australia.
