A software franchise has provided a streamlined solution for expanding hair accessories distributor.

As the sole distributer of GHD straightening irons throughout NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, Red Bedes has a big market to conquer. As a result of rapid growth, the accounting system in place was no longer sufficient, so Red Bedes turned to software franchise Micronet for a flexible and efficient system.

Sue McConVille, financial controller at Red Bedes said, “We wanted a range of options that our accounting software didnÕt offer, such as applying pricing structures to different customers. We also wanted a product that would help us streamline our supply chain. If we didnÕt migrate to a more sophisticated platform, it was clear we would run into problems.”

After extensive research Red Bedes chose to use an integrated solution from Micronet that would adapt with their needs in line with continued business growth. “Micronet instantly stood out because it was user friendly, secure and offered all the functionality weÕd been missing,” said McConVille. “The Micronet system allows sales orders to be processed faster and reduces picking errors, improving warehouse throughput and productivity.”

The enhanced distribution, kitting and accounting functions has enabled Red Bedes to streamline its business operations and improve its supply chain process, resulting in a higher level of customer service all round. It also allows them to manage back orders and calculate import costs a lot quicker than before, as well as producing intelligent, multi-dimensional reports, allowing for better business decisions.

Red Bedes is also looking to invest in Micronet Salesforce, which will enable staff on the road to access company systems and customer data, as well as place orders while at a customer premises.
