McDonald’s to introduce an organic hamburger

Sarah Stowe

McDonald’s is introducing an organic hamburger to its German restaurants in October.

Suppliers, McDonald’s and its franchisees have undergone organic inspection for certification purposes. The meat will be sourced from cattle farmed in open pens in Austria and Germany.

The global fast food giant has already made some changes to its supply-chain in the US, reports Business Insider.

McDonald’s has proved that innovations in the menu can bring back customers. It’s worked in Australia and will be essential to its global turnaround.

And it isn’t just on the menu that creativity is sparking a renewal: store design gets a look-in too.
