McDonald’s Australia has announced the inaugural participants of its brand new two year Property Graduate Program.

The graduates will work alongside industry professionals in on-the-job training and practical workshops, under the guidance of an experienced mentor. After completing the Program the graduates will be given the chance to take up a permanent role within Macca’s.

Successful applicants Maddy Pace and Monique Younis have already started getting exposure across McDonald’s’ National Development Group and over the next two years will receive training in fields such as real estate, construction, design and asset management.

Josh Bannister, McDonald’s senior development director said “We’re excited to welcome Maddy and Monique as the very first participants of the Macca’s Property Graduate Program. By exposing the graduates to the work of our National Development Group and providing them with practical exposure to everything from real estate and asset management to design and construction, we hope to equip Maddy and Monique with the foundations for a great career.”

The fast food giant has officially opened applications for the 2020 intake. The deadline for applications to become one of McDonald’s property graduates is 12 May 2019.

McDonald’s plans to extend the focus of the graduate program in time to include disciplines like finance, HR and supply chain.

The global burger chain in Australia has 984 restaurants and five corporate offices; it annually invests more than $40 million in training crew, restaurant management and corporate staff.
