Low cost, low stress franchise

Sarah Stowe

YogaBugs is the world’s largest, imagination driven, yoga based, exercise program for children.

What has been a success story for your franchise in the last 12 months?

While our official launch is not until August this year, in the first three months of our pilot program we have signed two franchisees and training 15 facilitators.

How long has the business been established and how long franchising?

YogaBugs has been in the UK for 13 years and been offering franchises for the past four years. There are about 55,000 children doing the program in the UK each week.

How many franchisees do you have?

Three at this stage, a pilot program in the north east of Melbourne and two in NSW.

What is your point of difference from your competitors?

YogaBugs is more than just yoga, more than just meditation and more than just exercise, it combines all the above to achieve benefits across the board for the children from improved concentration, increased flexibility as well as providing children with strategies to cope with day to day stress.

What is your strategy for growth over the next two years?

Our focus will be on the east coast of Australia and progressively bringing in the other states as well as NZ and the Pacific Islands.

What will it cost to set up a franchise in your system?

A franchise can be purchased for as little as $5,000 and as there is no requirement for capital investment and can be run from home there is very little required for a start up.
