Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms, a children’s services franchise, is planning to open four sites in New South Wales, two in Queensland and one Western Australia this year.

Established in 1989, the mobile farm franchise brings to the city an experience of country life in an educational way.

The initial investment of a franchise is between $85,000- $120,000 and the model includes 24 hour support, training, advertising and administrative support. The concept also requires operators to have an acreage property for the animals.

An ideal candidate has a willingness to learn, a love for working with animals and is looking for an alternative lifestyle to the daily grind. In some states, franchisees also require Certificate III in animal care.
