Italian restaurant franchise La Porchetta has donated $5,000 to its latest charitable concern, the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Held every year in Victoria, the Good Friday Appeal is a unique fundraising activity and is this year celebrating its 80th birthday. La Porchetta CEO, Sara Pantaleo, said “The Good Friday Appeal is especially close to our hearts.” Pantaleo had personal experience with the hospital many years ago taking a young family member for chemo every week and later her son into the emergency department.

“The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne is one of the world’s great children’s hospitals and the doctors, nurses and staff there do an extraordinary job of looking after ill children from across the country. La Porchetta was built on family values and we will continue to support organisations such as this that help families and children in need.”

Food franchise La Porchetta is a long time supporter of children’s charities, including the Children First Foundation run by Moira Kelly and SIDS and KIDS Victoria.
