Just desserts

An excellent expo in Brisbane (with mouth watering cakes) produced two new franchisees for The Cheesecake Shop, injecting an investment of approximately $750,000 dollars into the Australia-wide cake chain.

Nick Avgerinos, national franchise development manager says “We have almost 200 franchisees across Australia and New Zealand, making, with love of course, four million cakes per year. We are looking to open five new sites in 2011.”

The Cheesecake Shop has recently launched a signature range of desserts known as “The Temptations Range”, including cheesecake filled eclairs and profiteroles. The result is additional sales and revived interest from customers, he says.

The Cheesecake shop has also developed new products for the special celebration market for weddings, engagements and other special occasions: three tier cakes start from $99.
