JAX Tyres goes coast to coast

Tyre and mechanical servicing brand JAX Tyres has bolstered its national footprint this week, with the unveiling of a new outlet in Kwinana.

The latest storefront marks the 86th in the JAX network, and the first in Western Australia, despite over 70 years of operation.

Steve Grossreider, JAX Tyres CEO said the coast-to-coast presence was a significant step forward in national representation and brand development.

“We’re thrilled to be launching JAX Tyres in Western Australia for the first time, bringing the best brands, advice, service, knowledge and price to customers on the West Coast,” Grossreider said.

“With Kwinana being our 86th store since JAX Tyres was founded in Australia in 1949, we’re looking forward to expanding our strong retail network and providing our first-class tyre and car expertise to WA at competitive prices.”

Located on the outskirts of Perth, the Kwinana store features a number of consumer-centric additions, including JAX Tyres signature Touchpoint kiosk, where customers can select and view wheels before they are fitted.

Innovations like the Touchpoint kiosk have revolutionised the JAX Tyres model, with Port Kembla franchisee, Bec Bull acknowledging the brand puts a lot of time into training and preparing its franchisees for success.

“They’re a real clean, simple, effective business model; we had quite a bit of head-office support in learning to use their systems,” she told Inside Franchise Business.

“From the ground running, you can have mechanics, you can have tyre-techs, you can have wheel aligners, but if they haven’t worked within the JAX model before, it’s all new stuff to learn, so having that support means a lot.”
