Hotondo Homes is in expansive mode, and general manager Matt Daly believes this is a prime time for a local builder to join the franchise in NSW.

“We are currently looking for new franchisees in seven territories in NSW, demand for new build homes is just that high,” he says.

Hotondo Homes is looking for franchisees in Blacktown and Parramatta; Port Macquarie; Wollongong and Shellharbour; Parkes and Forbes; Yass; Gosford; Nelson Bay.

FRANCHISEE VIEW

Andrew Hobbs began work in Muswellbrook as a Hotondo Homes franchisee recently, and says it has immediately paid off for him.

“Joining a franchise has meant that I am more competitive with my business, more professional and I have systems in place for it be successful,” Hobbs says. “Within three weeks of joining we had already signed up a new job.”

Hobbs says that joining a franchise brings with it a lot more opportunities and he encourages it for other builders in regional areas.

“I have found that the best way to compete and increase your turnover is to be a part of a group like Hotondo Homes,” he says.

“It gives me the security and flexibility I need to spend time with my family – plus it’s a saleable asset, which is unusual for a small building company.”

Prior to joining Hotondo Homes in September last year, Andrew worked as an independent builder and operated a joinery store. He worked hard gaining a good reputation but found it difficult to compete with larger organisations.

“The marketing benefits and support have been massive – the television advertisements are great and we’ve got two open days at two different estates over the next month. Because I have the backing of a national brand, I can also expand to working with developers.”
