“Starting in 2018 we intend on expanding by 10 outlets per year with no limit on our expansion,” he said.

“We are currently looking at a number of growth strategies to ensure we reach this goal, including individual franchised stores and multi store operators with incentives such as lower fees and extra support for our initial franchisees.”

The brand underwent a brand refresh 18 months ago, developing the new logo and a full concept change with operational changes adjustments to core values.

“Our stores were already benchmarking above industry average in sales and bottom line figures, however, we identified that as rents and general business expenses continued to increase and that the simple sandwich salad bar concept bar would soon face concerns with handling, increased expenses and limited locations.

“We wanted to offer a model that helped shape healthy eating as a lifestyle not just a five day a week option from the typical sandwich salad bar concept.”

The initial investment of a Liv-eat franchise is $250,000- $500,000 depending on the store and includes marketing, training, backend and tech support and continual support. Ideal franchisees are eager to succeed in a business and have the aspirations and skills to become multi-unit operators.
