Gelatissimo to open in Sydney’s newest retail precinct

Gelatissimo will open its latest gelataria in Sydney’s new Central Park retail precinct, which is set to open on 31 October.

The gelato chain’s new outlet is located in the precinct’s dining district, which is situated on the lower ground.

Gelatissimo Central Park is fit-out with the new Galleria Del Gelato, which allows customers to witness the entire gelato making process from behind a large viewing window.

Freshly made gelato, coffee and biscotti will be on offer, as well as coppe gelato sundaes, which are sold in most large Italian gelatarias.

Varieties include the coppe uno, which is designed to be enjoyed by one person; meanwhile the much larger coppe mondiale is great for families or large groups.

New franchisee Todd He conducted his due diligence prior to investing in the brand.

He researched gelato making and the market, and worked as a store manager for six months.

In addition, he was already familiar with the brand through his previous line of work, where he provided creative design to retail chains.

“It was the holistic look of the franchise that appealed to me,” he said.

“The wonderful taste of the products, the presentation of the garnishes, and the sustainability of the business model is what attracted me to Gelatissimo.”

Domenico Lopresti, the joint CEO of Gelatissimo has high expectations for the new outlet.

“Central Park is a showcase for inner-city style, and its vibrant retail space is the perfect environment for Gelatissimo. We are sure it will quickly become one of our iconic gelaterias.”

To celebrate the opening of both Central Park shopping precinct and the new gelataria, customers will be treated to a free gelato on 23 November.
