Fresh face for returning heritage removalist

Nick Hall

Removalist business, WridgWays has announced a full network rebrand as the Australian heritage company completes its return to the domestic market.

In December, Inside Franchise Business reported that local businessman Kobus Fourie had acquired the company from strategic advisory firm, Santa Fe Group, signing a five-year mutually exclusive franchise agreement.

The agreement saw the 127 year-old brand consolidate operations, with Fourie today unveiling plans to relaunch and rebrand WridgWays in Australia.

“WridgWays is consolidating our technology framework that allows delivery of a supreme customer experience, tailored to what the customer actually wants rather than the traditional approach where the customer is expected to fit into a rigid framework,” Fourie said.

“This comes with a strategy that revolves around customer centricity across multiple channels with real-time technologies across Australia, and strong global partnerships.”

International partnerships have become common ground for Fourie, who has amassed an impressive 20-year background in global logistics, making him the perfect candidate to bring the Aussie brand back home after a decade of foreign ownership.

“I have formed an amazing team around me, who is delivering the results in line with the values of our business,” Fourie said.

To coincide with the relaunch, Fourie has revealed a full network rebrand, including a localised offering and messaging that pays homage to WridgWays Australian heritage.

“The rebranding experience has been very exciting. As we get to launch back into the market with our new vibrant brand, this means exciting times for the business ahead,” Fourie said.

“The rebranding is a top to bottom redesign, with a vibrant colour combination choice and a logo which identifies our heritage with a classy serif font along with a strong and impressive icon and a tagline which is a clear statement to the consumer that we are ‘The Removalist.’”

While the returning venture has already had a soft-launch, Fourie said the official WridgWays brand launch will happen later this month,.

“We will be officially launching the new brand on 25 February ‘19, where we will be discussing our brand’s new values and mission. We will also be revealing our new fleet and uniforms.”

“We’re locally owned, and have our sights firmly set at being Australia’s most loved removalist.
