Free seminar sessions at Melbourne franchising expo

Sarah Stowe

Do you want to find out more about what’s involved in franchising before you buy a franchise? A visit to the upcoming Melbourne Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo is an ideal way to undertake some fast-tracked learning – and maybe find the franchise of your choice too.

Attending some of the free seminar presentations at the expo can be an integral part of any franchise buyer’s research. At the Melbourne show, visitors will have the opportunity to hear from a wide range of industry experts, including Suzanne Jarzabkowska from DC Strategy, Pack & Send’s Mike Smart, Grant Garraway from The Franchise Shop, Darryn McAuliffe from FRANdata, Victorian Small Business Commissioner Geoff Browne, and Brian Keen from How to Franchise Simply.

In addition the Franchise Council of Australia, the peak body for the sector, will present panel sessions featuring successful franchisees discussing their franchise journeys. There will be daily sessions entitled ‘Is Franchising Right for You?’ about the nuts and bolts of investing in a franchise.

“This year in Melbourne we have more exhibitors covering a wider range of businesses than ever before,” says exhibition organiser Fiona Stacey. “Plus there is more industry knowledge on tap than you’ll find anywhere in one place – if you’ve ever had a question about starting or growing a business, you’ll find the answers here.”

The Melbourne Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo is on Friday 21 August to Sunday 23 August at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre 10am-5pm.
