With Valentine’s Day just around the corner franchisee couriers are gearing up for a spate of special deliveries. For Fastway Couriers getting the love delivered on time is what Valentine’s Day usually is all about. The week immediately preceding Valentine’s Day is usually one of the most colourful and busiest, outside of Christmas, for the 180-strong team of courier franchisees at Fastway Sydney.

Haythem Ahmed, a courier franchisee for Rosebery has been servicing renowned online florist, Roses Only, for the last two years.

“They usually send up to 700 bouquets in the lead up to Valentine’s Day. They’re one of my top customers and it’s such a great feeling to be able to personally deliver these special packages” said the Kogarah resident.

Peter Goldsmith, chief executive officer at Fastway Sydney describes the scene at the Homebush depot, the largest in the network, as “…a welcome change from the usual brown cardboard boxes that usually grace the 15,000 sqm depot floor.

“Valentine’s Day often marks a significant spike in freight movement with thousands of additional parcels passing through our doors. We’ve got a number of couriers in the depot that service florists and they ensure those deliveries are an absolute priority” said Goldsmith.
