Fastway Couriers launches Parcel Connect service

The franchise delivery service Fastway Couriers has launched a new service, Parcel Connect, in six locations in Sydney. Now customers can send, collect and return parcels from a local business with extended trading hours, by-passing the post office.

Customers who are unable to receive their parcels at the delivery time can now pick them up at their local Parcel Connect agent at a nearby convenience store or service station. The parcels are automatically redirected.

The Parcel Connect in-store kiosk allows customers to send parcels anywhere in Australia, including parcel returns.

Richard Thame, CEO at Fastway Couriers, said “With the growth in online shopping, we realise that people often aren’t at home to receive their deliveries. It’s important for us to offer secure alternatives. Parcel Connect provides customers with the convenience and flexibility of collecting parcels at a nearby location and at a time that suits them.

“This is a very exciting step forward for Fastway Couriers,” he said.

The branded Parcel Connect service was launched at six sites across Sydney; Bondi Beach, Coogee, North Balgowlah, Hurstville, Glen Alpine and Turramurra, with a view to rolling out the service to 1,000 locations nationwide by the end of 2014.

Parcel Connect is part of a range of new delivery options Fastway Couriers has introduced to provide consumers with as much flexibility as possible, one of which is TZ Limited’s A.D.A.M. Parcel Lockers.

The A.D.A.M. Parcel Locker service provides customers with direct access to 24/7 pick-up stations, enabling parcel collection outside of normal business hours.

There are lockers located in Sydney and Melbourne and TZ Limited is working on expanding the sites available to customers throughout Australia.
