Fastway Couriers helps drive Multiple Sclerosis initiative

Franchisees in the Fastway Couriers network are collecting and delivering nearly 1,000 boxes of merchandise to individuals and businesses across Australia as part of Kiss Goodbye to MS, a month long event organised by MS Australia.

The Kiss Goodbye to MS is a campaign to raise funds for research into multiple sclerosis (MS) and provide support for the 23,000 Australians living with the disease.

Throughout May, Australians are encouraged to wear red lipstick, dare themselves to do something a little unusual or share their MS experiences with others to raise funds and awareness.

MS is the most common neurological disease affecting young Australian adults and as yet there is no cure.

Richard Thame, CEO at Fastway Couriers, explained why the franchise network is supporting the cause.

“As a community company, we’re dedicated to donating our time to worthy causes. MS is a debilitating neurological disease which has proven close to the hearts of some of our franchisees. We’ve responded by offering our services to MS Australia and are very pleased to announce we will be assisting the organisation with courier services across Australia,” he said.

Mandy Lee, the campaign manager for Kiss Goodbye to MS, said “Having the support of companies like Fastway ensures that more of our precious fundraising dollars are put into MS research and support services – which will bring us ever closer to our goal of kissing goodbye to MS once and for all!”.
