EFM opens 50th franchise

EFM Health Clubs has opened its 50th franchise, located onsite at Lyell McEwen Hospital in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

The club is also the 18th to open onsite at a hospital.

“Our onsite hospital clubs have proven to be a true win-win for the host hospital, our franchisees. Our hospital clients receive a quality staff health and fitness program at no cost to the organisation, and the majority of franchisees are able to reach break even within the opening weeks,” said managing director, Matthew Lindblom.

Lindblom attributed the rapid growth of the onsite hospital program sector to the strength of the model itself. “The four main benefits for our franchisees entering EFM’s innovative onsite hospital health clubs are the availability of an onsite captive audience, a rent-free facility, financed equipment and subsidised membership for staff,” he said.

EFM has also developed an onsite school health club model, with 12 health clubs operating onsite at independent schools across Australia.
