Eagle Boys shuts company-owned stores

The troubled pizza chain Eagle Boys has closed its 13 company-owned stores.

The Queensland based franchise chain was placed in voluntary administration last week and today announced the closure of its company-owned outlets in its home state, New South Wales and Western Australia.

All franchisees within the network are continuing to trade as normal, and according to a statement from the franchisor, most stores are “experiencing record sales during the past week”.

The store closures are part of an ongoing review to identify cost saving restructuring measures by administrator SV Partners, which has taken control of day-to-day operations of the national franchise and is hopeful of a swift sale following a number of enquiries.
