Gold Coast based Domino’s franchisees Danny and Carley Maher received the company’s Big Red award at the Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd. Rally recently.

The husband and wife team, who owns Domino’s outlets at Biggera Waters and Southport, were recognised with the award after they had the highest average weekly units sold of all multi-unit franchisees.

Domino’s CEO Don Meij said the pair had made a valuable contribution to the company for more than 20 years, and the high sales they achieved are testament to the hard work of their team and the support from the community.

“It’s no coincidence Danny and Carley’s stores have emerged as some of the best Domino’s stores in Australia.

“Since franchising their first store in Weston, ACT they have gone from strength to strength, exhibiting outstanding operational standards and quality people,” added Meij.

Danny and Carley have all aspects of their business covered, which has no doubt contributed to their success.

“Danny and Carley realise the importance of fostering fantastic relationships with their customers, promoting customer loyalty and providing consistently high quality pizzas.

“They have raised the bar in the past 12 months, providing outstanding customer service, consistent product quality, continual employee satisfaction and commendable profit margins,” said Meij.

Domino’s regional manager, Ryan Bohm said Danny and Carley won the award because of their excellent management skills and drive to succeed.

“Their vision, hands-on leadership style and dedication to outstanding PSI (product, service and image) is an inspiration to his team, and coupled with his constant search for ways to develop, recognize and reward his team, he truly is the customer’s champion.”

This is not the first time Domino’s has recognised the achievements of the franchisees, in June the pair broke the company’s Australian record for perfect pick up service.

“They keep raising the bar – in fact earlier this year, in a move never seen before, their Southport store broke the record for perfect pick up service, completing 36 days of perfect service.

“It is these kinds of achievements which set Danny and Carley apart from the rest of their colleagues,” said Bohm.
