Ordering a pizza through Facebook? It’s possible now, thanks to Dominos which has introduced an app on its Australian and New Zealand Facebook pages.

Domino’s online marketing director, Michael Gillespie, said the launch was an exciting step forward for the brand’s presence on the social networking site.

“More than 567,000 Australians have connected with us through Facebook and our new ordering app brings them a more engaging and social ordering experience,” Gillespie said. “Our Facebook ordering gives pizza lovers the chance to order from their local store quickly, ‘like’ their favourite pizzas and share both experiences with their friends on Facebook easily — all without leaving the social media environment.”

Gillespie revealed there are two ordering approaches: an open graph application that enables automatic sharing of a customer’s ordering experience with their friends, and the other giving the customer control of what they want to like and share during their ordering process.

“Placing an order is quick and easy in both apps and our unique Pizza Tracker is still available to track the pizza making process at the end of ordering.”

To celebrate the launch of Facebook ordering Domino’s is offering a special introductory price of $5.96 pick-up for Value and $6.95 pick-up for Traditional pizzas for all orders placed through Facebook before 4 June 2012.

You can order Domino’s through its Facebook site. So, will you?
