Domino’s Cheaper Tuesday promotion spans two days

In a bid to ease the financial pressure on Australian families, Domino’s is extending its weekly Cheaper Tuesday promotion to include two days – Monday and Tuesday.

When the pizza franchise launched its Cheaper Tuesday promotion in 2008 Don Meij, CEO and managing director, Domino’s said it sought to make life a little easier for Australian families.

“We wanted to give Australian families a great meal on a budget by offering customers the same high quality pizzas at a set low price.”

The promotion saw the brand launch its Value and Traditional range pizzas to the Australian market at a cost of $4.95 each.

He said the pizzas have remained at the same price despite other price increases.

“The offering has held its popularity over the past five years because it didn’t gradually increase in price, contrary to other popular fast food meal deals and household expenses.

“Household electricity prices alone have risen in Australia by more than 40 percent since 2007 and are projected to rise by another 30 percent by 2013/2014,” he added.

Meij said Domino’s has introduced a number of changes to its products over the years yet it continues to offer customers value for money.

“We have made a lot of changes to our products over the years but we’ve always felt passionately about offering value to consumers, particularly when times are tough and the cost of living continues to increase,” said Meij.

He said the company’s decision to run its Cheaper Tuesday promotion on an additional day reflects its commitment to providing the customer with affordable yet high quality products.
