Excavator and machinery hire franchise Diggermate has unveiled plans to double its network by year’s end.
The announcement comes fresh on the heels of Diggermate’s latest expansion, with the business officially launching its 10th franchise in regional Victoria.
New franchisees, Phil and Melissa Gregory relocated to the industrial area in Echuca in order to maximise exposure for their new business.
The tree-change sees the pair with the power to provide multiple equipment options to service several surrounding areas, such as Moama, Deniliquin, Kyabram, Shepparton and Bendigo.
Diggermate expansion efforts
The milestone opening follows a consistent pattern of growth for Diggermate, with the brand unveiling future expansion plans are in the works.
Over the last 12 months, Diggermate has opened sites in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, with New South Wales and Western Australian franchises to follow.
Mick Watkins, Diggermate founder said the milestone achievement was a credit to the brand’s dedicated franchisee team.
“We’re super excited about the 10th franchise and it’s a huge milestone in the Diggermate story. No doubt when you hit double figures with anything substantial in your life it’s time to celebrate,” Watkins said.
“We are even more excited that we have been able to help new business owners to launch a successful business and we have seen the changes in people’s financial lives and family lives as a result, so that is the most rewarding thing.”
The founder believes that Diggermate’s unique model, which requires limited hours per week is critical to the ongoing success of the network.
Franchisees have the ability to run the franchise as a supplementary income stream, which Watkins suggests is the driving force behind Diggermate’s ambitious growth strategy.
“Our goal is to double that number by the end of the year, so we are super motivated to get this happening,” he said. “We have put some great initiatives together for new locations.”
