Daffodil deliveries courtesy of Fastway Couriers aid Cancer Council

Hundreds of Fastway Couriers across nine regional franchises in NSW, QLD and VIC are preparing to deliver bright, fresh daffodils free of charge as part of their annual commitment to the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day this Friday 23 August 2013.

Richard Thame, CEO at Fastway Couriers Australia, says Daffodil Day is an important event in Fastway’s calendar.

“Every year, our courier franchisees give back to their communities by delivering hundreds of thousands of daffodils, for free, to the Cancer Council volunteers. It’s our way of supporting the fantastic work this charity does year in and year out,” he says.

Daffodil Day is the largest fundraising event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Sales of flowers and other merchandise on Daffodil Day helps the Cancer Council continue to provide vital information to all Australians, support to those affected by the disease and pave the way towards a cancer free future.

This year, Fastway Couriers at Northern Rivers, Newcastle, Central Coast, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast and Port Macquarie are participating.
