Collins Food Limited plans to open eight new KFC restaurants for 2017, focusing on Western Australia and the Northern Territory in the expansion.

The food franchise has swung back to a $29.1 million full-year profit after its KFC network expanded, according to a report by Inside Retail

“Our priorities for KFC are to focus on top line growth, continue the disciplined approach to operational management to maintain margins in Queensland and to unlock further margin opportunities in Western Australia and the Northern Territory,” said Graham Maxwell, Collins Food CEO.

He also added that upon completion, Collins Food would consolidate the 13 recently acquired KFC restaurants in the network and continue to evaluate further growth opportunities.
