Cold Rock set for Vietnam

Sarah Stowe

Cold Rock Ice Creamery will be opening its stores in Vietnam as part of its mission to take the desserts brand to an international market.

The ice cream brand is part of the Franchised Food Company headed up by Stan Gordon. “The international move for the brand now positions Cold Rock as a global player,” Gordon said. “It’s a move the Cold Rock brand has been researching and developing for some time. We continually receive requests from parties globally who’ve expressed interest in taking our brands international.”

Gordon said he was keen to add the Aussie model to the line-up of US ice cream brands available in Vietnam.

The expansion will be led by Vietnamese master franchisee Diane Nguyen with three stores opening across Ho Chi Minh City, and set to be trading before Christmas.

Pretzel World, another of the FFCo brands, will have stores opening in Dubai over the next few months, Gordon confirmed.
