Coaching Zone adds ex-rugby stars to network

Coaching Zone has bolstered its fitness profile, adding three former professional athletes to the network.

Ex-rugby league and union stars, Todd Liubinskas, Bronson Harrison and Shane McLeod have joined the franchise as ambassadors, as well as owner/operators for the Five Dock location in Sydney.

Eleven-year veteran of the NRL, Bronson suggested the team environment of Coaching Zone offered a familiar territory for the ex-sport stars.

“There are correlations between Coaching Zone and professional sport”, Bronson said. “The concept of Coaching Zone certainly correlates with the team atmosphere, setting goals and breaking new ground that we see in footy.”

For Liubinskas, the announcement was two-fold. The Five-Dock franchise was also recently appointed as Fitness Director for Men’s Health.

“I’m ecstatic to be joining Men’s Health, the ultimate fitness platform for Aussie men,” Liubinskas said.

“It’s the natural extension for my work in the fitness space, and what an exciting time to join the brand as [editor] Scott looks to engage new audiences and broaden its reach.”

Liubinskas outlined his decision to join Coaching Zone was a reflection of the strong franchise model.

“The true difference with Coaching Zone, compared to other offerings in the fitness space, is the scalability,” he said.

The Belgravia Health and Fitness owned franchise has been steadily gaining popularity across the country.

CEO, Ian Jensen-Muir believes that having an established high-profile franchisee network would only continue the brand’s growth.

“These guys have a very strong presence in the fitness market and are well respected and established as trainers,” Jensen-Muir said.

“They are an integral part of helping us grow the Coaching Zone brand.”
