Bundraising Day a success for Bakers Delight

Bakers Delight franchisees had one of their most successful fundraising days ever on 20 March, with ‘Bundraiser’ Day raising over $123,000 for sick children at hospitals around the country.

All 625 Bakers Delight bakeries in Australia donated $1 from six-packs of Hot Cross Buns sold to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment at hospitals and foundations including Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Women and Children’s Hospital Foundation in South Australia, Royal Hobart Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and Victoria’s Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Chris Caldwell, general manager at Bakers Delight, thanked customers for making Bundraiser Day a success. “This has been our second successful Bundraiser Day nationwide so we’d like to thank all our local customers for digging deep and getting behind the day with their Hot Cross Bun purchase,” he said.

“Bakers Delight has been baking our Hot Cross Buns fresh each day over Easter for the past 30 years, with over 152 million buns baked across the network. This is our busiest time of the year so it’s a great time to be giving back where we can to children who need our support.”
