Australian smoothie and juice franchise, Boost Juice has announced a new partnership with organic beverage brand Amplify Kombucha to help steer a new line of kombucha-based blends.

Arriving just in time to fuel many New Year’s resolution health-kicks, the KomBOOSTcha range leverages the nation’s growing desire to kick sugar drinks in favour of the traditional fermented beverage.

Claire Lauber, managing director of Boost Juice, said the brand was excited to team up with Amplify Kombucha, particularly as the warmer weather hits Australia.

“We all want to start the year off right, and we know healthy New Year’s resolutions play a big role in this,” Lauber said.

“The KomBOOSTcha blends are the perfect combination of delicious, seasonal fruit and good for you Amplify Kombucha, another option at Boost for people looking for a fresh and healthy alternative drink this summer.”

The Boost Juice partnership comes after experts predicted that ombucha brands would begin to launch partnership in order to capitalise on the growing popularity of the product.

“While, in essence, it is a tea drink, many brands use fruit juices and superfoods to enhance health credentials,”

Jodie Minotto, senior global food trends analysts at Mintel, said in an interview with FoodProcessing in 2017.

“Expansion into other fermented beverages such as kefir and drinking vinegar is emerging as an innovation pathway for kombucha brands looking for growth.”

Boost Juice’s KomBOOSTcha range features three flavours, Berry Lemon, Mango Orange Pash and Watermelon Lychee and is on sale across as franchised and company-operated stores until January 28.
