Beyond Rest is a cutting-edge wellness model offering flotation tank therapy. Clients effectively float in an enclosed bathtub filled with water and 500kg of super-saturated Epsom salt solution, which is about 25cm deep.

While the technology has been around for 60 years, Nick Dunin, who heads up the Beyond Rest business with his brother Ben, said growth is definitely on the cards.

“We’re looking to grow to 22 franchises across Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia by 2019,” he said.

The initial investment is $500,000 and franchisees are provided training, marketing and ongoing support from the franchisor.

Dunin said the brand has rights to one of the best tanks in the world; the I-Sopod. Ideal sites are quieter back streets as it is a ‘destination’ business and because the model requires sound-proofing.
