Bedshed supports Stay in Bed Day

Fancy a Sunday sleep-in? Enjoy a few extra hours under the doona with the blessings of Bedshed. The franchise retailer is supporting Stay in Bed Day on Sunday 22 September, an initiative that is part of the Global Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week.

Bedshed’s chief operating officer Gavin Culmsee said the organisation has donated $5000 on behalf of the franchisee network to help researchers find a cure for the debilitating genetic disorder.

Culmsee said “It’s a condition which deprives the body of energy and sufferers often find themselves bedridden all day.”

He is encouraging Australians to support the charity by getting sponsored to stay in bed or make a donation.
