Mortgage Broking franchise, Aussie Home Loans, has experienced a 41 percent jump in leads in February thanks to its recent marketing campaign, which saw the return of founder John Symond as its spokesperson.

February’s leads were up 41 percent year on year and in the first two weeks of the month, lead volumes doubled compared to the same period last year.

After a five year absence, Aussie Home Loans’ founder and executive chairman John Symond returned as the franchise’s spokesperson in its latest advertising campaign, It’s Smart to Ask, which encourages consumers to reassess how they go about acquiring a home loan.

General manager of marketing and product, Stuart Tucker, expects the company to have written $1.5 billion in new residential loans in February alone, and said “Our lead generation activities have resulted in thousands and thousands of leads … plus our sales team has reported a higher level of walk-in and phone leads.”

Aussie Home Loans Parramatta franchisee, John Kolyvas, said there had been very strong enquiries from new and existing customers.

“Our phones have been running off the hook of late, and we have had a noticeable increase in the foot traffic, during the week and especially on Saturdays,” he said.
