7-Eleven named in top performing company list

The embattled 7-Eleven convenience chain has been ranked third in a list of Australia’s top performing companies.

7-Eleven has a total revenue of $3,870.7m, with 307 employees, according to the Top 500 Private Companies 2015.

The list has been compiled from analysis of companies’ last 12 months’ revenue.

Privately owned food franchisors who made the list include at number 36, Competitive Foods (Hungry Jacks franchisee); Quick Service Restaurant Holdings (the franchisor of Oporto and Red Rooster) at number 44; Bakers Delight at 69; and Minor DKL Food Group (the business behind The Coffee Club) at 71.

Among the top 200, pharmacy chain Terry White Chemists was listed at 35; real estate agencies Ray White Group at 59 and LJ Hooker at 76; Carpet Court at 137; just re-branded Quest Apartment Hotels (listed as Quest Serviced Apartments) at 146; and the Big4 Holiday Parks at 150.
