7-Eleven Day sees franchisees and head-office staff side by side
Convenience franchise 7-Eleven has launched its annual 7-Eleven day promotion, promising to deliver over $18,000 in prizes for consumers.
Held every year on November 7, the one-day campaign is the chain’s largest and most anticipated trading day, with 300,000 large slurpees, regular coffees, 7-Eleven Iced Coffees and 7-Eleven Coffee Melts given away with purchases.
Angus McKay, 7-Eleven CEO said the promotion presented a rare opportunity for franchisees and support-office staff to work alongside one another in consumer-centric setting.
“7-Eleven Day is a celebration of our amazing customers and team members. It’s a chance for us to treat our customers, and to have some fun celebrating in-store,” McKay said.
More than 200 office-based staff will venture out to franchised locations over the course of the day, providing additional support with customer service and operations.
Customers also have the chance to win $711 every hour for 24 hours, by sharing photos of the promotion on Facebook or Instagram through the #7ElevenDay tag.
“We’re looking forward to seeing some fun photos and enjoying some great moments with our customers on the day,” McKay said.
“My team are going to be out with our store teams for what will be a really enjoyable but busy day.”
The promotion follows a series of initiatives from 7-Eleven to raise store sales, including a run of exclusive confectionary products from Nestle and Allens introduced over the past few months.
