New Schnitz CEO appointed to lead growth strategy

Fast-casual franchise Schnitz has announced a shake-up of its head-office team, appointing Brenton Howie as chief executive officer. The new Schnitz CEO joins the brand from food service company Breadsolutions, where he most recently served as chief operations officer.

The appointment marks a notable step forward for the family-operated franchise, which currently boasts 70 outlets nationwide. A recent brand revamp has seen Schnitz roll-out a series of new-look restaurants and an improved, extended menu offering that includes vegan and gluten-free options.

Executive background

Howie’s background across a number of senior financial business partnering positions will add significant value and experience to the executive team.

Prior to Breadsolutions, the new Schnitz CEO held roles at larger FMCG organisations such as Simplot, Murray Goulburn and Lion Nathan.

Andrew Dyduk, co-founder and managing director said Howie’s appointment as the new Schnitz CEO would be instrumental in continuing the brand’s growth strategy.

“Brenton is a commercial leader and has been selected for his ability to build exceptional relationships,” Dyduk said.

“He will work closely with our support office, franchise partners and store teams to continue building our brand, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

New Schnitz CEO role

As the new Schnitz CEO, Howie will focus on improving profitable partnerships and support office operations. The experienced executive will also place a renewed emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service experiences and continuing to evolve the brand’s sustainable franchise growth practices.

Howie said he was excited to be spearhead Schnitz’s next phase of transitional growth.

“It’s a really exciting time to be joining Schnitz, with the brand in the midst of such a huge period of growth,” Howie said.

“I’m looking forward to working with the team to take such a much-loved, family-oriented brand to even further heights.”

The new Schnitz CEO commenced his role on July 8.
