New management for food franchise

Sarah Stowe

Beard Papa, a food retail franchise system serving up cream puffs, has been taken on by Pacific Retail Management, which includes the Go Sushi brand in its portfolio.

Established a decade ago in Osaka, Japan, Beard Papa now has more than 300 stores worldwide, six of them in Australia.

The company’s national marketing manager, Scott Philipson, said there was little direct competition for the cream puff outlets, which also serve coffee.

“We’re very excited about taking on the management of this great system in Australia and aiding the six current franchise stores we have trading at the moment.”

David Hill, franchise recruitment for Pacific Retail Management, added “We are committed to helping our franchisees realise and achieve their full potential, and we are dedicated to providing them with the skills, tools and know-how to perform.”

Beard Papa stores are at Brisbane City, Westfield Garden Shopping Centre and Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Queensland; in Macquarie Centre and Westfield Chatswood Shopping Centre in New South Wales; and Adelaide City in South Australia.
