Marcel Lal [pictured above] slips into the CEO Asia Pacific role and will also be based in Brisbane.

Lal, ranked sixth in the recent Top 30 Franchise Executives report, joined InXpress 15 months ago as country manager Australia & New Zealand.

In this role he implemented key growth initiatives. In 2018 Australia’s top line revenue grew by 24 per cent and franchisee margin increased by 25 per cent from $5.9m to $7.4m.

Lal’s task is not only to build on the Australian results but to expand the overall Asia Pacific operations.

He will report directly to Mark Taylor, the global chief executive officer, and will join the firm’s global strategy board.

James Buck replaces Lal as country manager for Australia & New Zealand.

Buck brings to the role extensive experience in the logistics industry at Maersk, Agility Logistics and more recently as the GM at Americold Logistics and AM Logistics.
