My Home Watch has partnered with SafeStay, a business providing third-party safety and security certification for short-term rentals and holiday properties.

Franchisees in the home services business will now benefit from the billion-dollar short term rental industry and new safety and security audit/inspection service.

My Home Watch provides property care and maintenance management for home owners and property investors.

My Home Watch deal benefits franchisees

Franchisor and CEO Natasha Morgan said “We work with many corporate real estate partners, however, I see this partnership being the most lucrative for our franchisees with a lot of our territories holding very high numbers of STR (Short Term Rental) listings. Legislation surrounding the STR industry has been blurred for property owners and property management companies for many years now.

“Regulations to this industry have now come to the forefront on a global scale. We are extremely proud to be a part of this movement. We look forward to developing our Australian partnership and one on an international level as we scale into other countries in 2020.”

Morgan explained scaling the network to respond to the high demand for annual inspections across the country is the current focus for the franchise development and sales team.

SafeStay was founded in 2019. Co-founder Kiel Glass said “Our mission is to see every short-term rental become safety and security compliant and certified, so that travellers can trust their booking partner has offered them and their families the safest stay possible.

“We are working extremely close with property professionals and investors who are aligned to the major short-term accommodation platforms, like Airbnb, Stayz, Home Away, Booking.com.au and VRBO. Aligning ourselves with My Home Watch was a strategic decision, their growing franchise network and team of professionals means we can have control over the quality of inspectors that deliver our high-level standard of safety and security audits for Australia and other countries.”
