Minuteman Press franchisee in recycling drive

Eco-conscious franchisee Anita Lennox is starting the new year with a call for fellow business owners and consumers to recycle and reuse leftover Christmas cards and wrapping paper from the holiday season.

Lennox, owner-operator of the Minuteman Press franchise in Darra, Qld, said waste paper can be reused or recycled to make Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) products.

“Australia Post estimated around 70 million cards were sent in December,” Lennox said. “Not including the wrapping paper, that is a lot of material that could be utilised,” she said.

As well as FSC products Minuteman Press Darra uses a five star energy rated environmentally friendly wide format press, and works with solvent-free inks and recyclable plates.

Lennox said “We are always on the lookout to help the environment where we can.”

Consumers or businesses wanting to recycle unwanted Christmas cards should drop them to Minuteman Press Darra, located at 1 / 235 Monier Road, Darra.
