Mad Mex on delivery, drive through and expansion

Sarah Stowe

What does the Mexican food franchise have planned? Inside Franchise Business: Mad Mex on delivery, drive through and expansion.

“The brand has grown substantially since inception in 2009,” said Michael Savvas, national development manager.

He said 17 franchises were opened last year, and the same amount projected for Mad Mex in 2017, with regional markets and Western Australia targeted in its national expansion.

The initial investment of a franchise is $400,000- $600,000.

This year the brand also plans to consolidate the stores by revamping older stores up to specs with newer sites and implementing additional marketing coaching for franchisees design to assist them with their local area marketing.

Savvas said this marketing development is designed to get franchisees “away from the counter” and engage with local communities.

The franchise is also developing its delivery platform with a focus on quality assurance for both corporate and residential delivery jobs. Drive through is also an initiative for this year which will require real estate development and significant investment in company-owned stores before being available to franchisees.
